Gladewater City Councilwoman Judy Burlison remained in intensive care Tuesday at East Texas Medical Center, a family spokesman said. She was hospitalized Dec. 16.

Tornado touches down in Longview

LONGVIEW — Multiple reports have been received of a tornado touching down on the eastern side of Longview.
The National Weather service has confirmed a tornado and it is moving northeast at 30 mph.
The tornado is touched down around 4:30 p.m.
There have been no reports of damage at this time.
Those near Mulberry Springs and Harleton should take cover immediately.

Three men charged with assaulting Tatum police chief, sergeant

Authorities released three Texarkana men from jail Saturday after they were charged with fighting the Tatum police chief and another Tatum officer at a Longview night club.

Daniel Mial Scurlock, 23; David Wayne Dodez, 26; and Robert Turner Darby III, 24, are charged with assault on a public servant and were held on $20,000 bonds each. Longview police arrested the men at Graham Central Station on Saturday morning.

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - James Johnson, the former Longview City Councilman and Gregg County Commissioner, died in a car wreck in Harrison County on Saturday.

Teen Fight Injures One; Longview Police are Investigating

LONGVIEW - Longview Police say more than forty teenagers were involved in a fight on Friday night in the Brookshire's parking lot.

Witnesses at the scene told police the brawl was over a girl.

Jake Jones a student and athlete at Spring Hill was critically injured and is still in the hospital.

Police say they are investigating some key players who were involved in what they call a prearranged incident.

Marion DA refers case to Texas Rangers

Marion County District Attorney Bill Gleason said Wednesday that he has asked the Texas Rangers to investigate local Democratic Party bank accounts.

Gleason said his office has received complaints from several people that Marion County Democratic Party Chairman Ricky Harrington misused party funds.

Longview men sentenced on federal child pornography charges

A federal judge sentenced two Longview men to prison Wednesday on separate charges of child pornography.

Rodney Ray Roszell, 56, pleaded guilty to possessing between 10 and 150 images of child pornography in June, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney John Bales' office. The judge sentenced Roszell to 3 1/2 years in prison and ordered him to pay $3,000 in restitution.
