On January 11, 2010 at around 12:50 p.m., Longview Officers were dispatched to Good Shepherd Medical Center after medical personnel called and reported that a child had been attacked by dogs and brought in to the hospital for treatment.
LONGVIEW - Longview police are investigating a homicide in Longview.
Police officials say one person has been confirmed dead.
The incident occured at 817 Travis Street.
KETK has a news crew headed to the scene and will have more information as it becomes available.

LONGVIEW - City of Longview Partners in Prevention joins with other cities across the nation to draw attention to the positive impact mentoring has on the lives in youth in Longview and East Texas. Partners in Prevention currently provides almost 200 children and youth with trained, caring, supportive adult mentors. Of those 200 children, eighty-nine have at least one parent in prison. Dr. W. Wilson Goode, founder of Amachi Mentoring Program, estimates that 70% of youth who have a parent incarcerated will end up in prison themselves without a positive intervention, like mentoring.
Raleigh's police chief says a combination of aggressive law enforcement, community support and positive, new outlets for youngsters living in troubled neighborhoods helped cut the city's homicide count in half last year.
City employees with severe illnesses can take some relief under a new catastrophic leave policy that goes into effect today.
"A Longview man injured Tuesday night at a natural gas well site in Louisiana remained hospitalized Thursday in fair condition, said a spokesman for Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center of Shreveport.
